Job Details

The Role:

We are looking for an ambitious National Account Executive looking for a step up to support a Business Unit Manager in day to day implementation of the management of our J. Sainsbury account. You will have the opportunity to receive full P&L responsibility on J. Sainsbury Savory & Seasonal business. You will have regular external customer facing exposure with J. Sainsbury.

You will have broad internal cross functional interface, including Category, Marketing, Finance, Commercial Finance, Supply Chain and Customer Services.

Typical day:

  • Accurately document and control key account communication - pricing, promotions, forecast, range, co-ordination of category work where applicable and take ownership of key administration requirements (e.g new line forms, promotion proposal forms).
  • Credit control / management of invoicing.
  • Weekly / Monthly Forecasting (planning, reviewing and inputting) through data analysis.
  • Promotional planning & evaluation.
  • Analysis of Epos data with proposed actions.
  • Assisting the Business Unit Manager with analysing & reporting weekly and monthly performance.
  • Liaise with cross functional contacts to ensure deadlines are adhered to.
  • Take ownership of designated customer facing key projects.

About You:

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be of Graduate Calibre or equivalent experience
  • Have proven experience in either an Account Executive or similar role in Mults or C&I.
  • Have experience of working in the FMCG sector (advantageous).
  • Have experience of cross functional team working
  • Possess strong time management skills
  • Possess strong planning and organisation skills (Essential)
  • Possess strong Numerical / Mathematical Skills (Essential)
  • Possess strong MS Excel / Powerpoint skill (Essential)
  • Problem solving and analysis
  • Be able to self-motivate, possess commercial awareness, resilience, flexibility, proactivity and be results driven.
