This is a great opportunity to join a wholesale distributer within the food service industry who is currently growing their business within the convenience sector. The company specialise in importing and supplying Ethnic Food across the UK.

My client is looking for a Business Development Manager to cover the Nottinghamshire area; prospect and win on new business across the retail sector.

Client Details

Established in the 1970's, my client is a wholesale distributer within the food service industry. They specialise in importing and supplying Ethnic Food across the UK from their base of 4 depots within the East Midlands and are currently looking to grow their business within the retail industry.

Description

Reporting into the Head of Trading, you will responsible for covering the Nottinghamshire area working with accounts within the retail sector. The account base will consist of mainly independents and some retail chains.

The role will predominantly be new business; you will be given a pre-defined list of customers to prospect from and you will also be responsible for creating your own leads.

Monday to Saturday - Hours will be flexible but in line with the needs of the customer base.

Profile

Key skills, experience and attributes required:
  • Positive, self motivated and target driven
  • Proven track record in achieving new business and developing profitable accounts
  • Experience within the FMCG industry
  • Ability to build strong relationships with existing customers and contacts
  • Strong selling, influencing and negotiation skills, as well as commercial and presentation skills
  • Full driving license and able to work across Nottinghamshire
  • Based in Nottinghamshire
