Job Details

SCA develops and produces sustainable personal care, tissue and forest products. Sales are conducted in about 100 countries under many strong brands, including the leading global brands TENA and Tork, and regional brands, such as Cushelle, Plenty and Velvet.

An exciting opportunity at SCA has arisen for an experienced Key Account Manager to work within our Consumer Goods Business Unit which sells and markets baby diapers, feminine hygiene, and consumer tissue products. Our sales force is also responsible for selling incontinence products in retail channels.

As a Key Account Manager you will be responsible for the management and business growth of the Consumer Tissue & Personal Care products for one of our major customers in retail.

This role will be home based and cover UK Wide, the successful candidate will be working two days a week from our offices in Manchester.

Main Tasks

  • Management of the day to day relationship and account plans for relevant customers categories
  • Prepare short and long-range sales plans and strategies utilizing available sales and marketing programs to reach nominated targets
  • Negotiate and implement plans and conditions with customers
  • Introduce new products/services to clients and organise visits to current and potential clients to drive sales expansion
  • Possess and apply detailed product knowledge as well as thorough knowledge of clients business ensuring excellent communication with all applicable areas of customer business
  • Identify and optimise growth opportunities within nominated accounts
  • Management of P&L
  • Implement a promotional programme, within defined accounts, in line with company objectives and strategy
  • Identify and recommend new business opportunities
  • Manage any discrepancies within accounts, escalating as necessary
  • Work with other business areas to maximise business opportunities & share knowledge

 

Key Competencies

  • Experience within the FMCG market in the UK is essential
  • Proven experience at managing FMCG National Accounts
  • Capability to analyse sales data sets & insight data
  • Commercial awareness / experience of managing financial budgets
  • Degree (or equivalent) educated

 

Additional Information

This role is primarily homebased but need to work an average of 2 days a week from our offices in Manchester will be required.
