The Role
To implement distribution plans for the Distribution function to meet current/future customer service requirements and continually improve cost efficiency/quality of service in with the Distribution Centre goals.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Day to day supervision and planning of the Distribution function, ensuring DC standards and targets are meet.
• Input into Distribution Cost Budgets
• Staff Recruitment/Retention – train and development plans
• Health and Safety and Legal obligations – adhere to company policies and procedures & ensure group H&S policy is implemented and adhered to.
• Increase driver awareness to reduce accidents
• Customer Service
• Communication Cascade (two-way)

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
Essential:

• Relevant supervisory experience within a distribution operation and a full understanding of current commercial vehicle legislation.
• Man management, commercial, analytical and communication skills.

Desirable:

• Educated to HND level and/or 3 years’ experience.
• PC and systems literate.
• LGV Licence.
• CPC holder
