NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER – Out of Home   

£45k-£55k plus bonus, car/car allowance & benefits

Flexible base: North/Midlands/South

Our client is a highly successful and fast-growing European chilled foods business, manufacturing naturally healthy products in the “free-from” category. They have the market leading brand in Europe with a 40% share of the category and  also the fastest growing brand in The Grocer’s Top 100 UK brands.

Entrepreneurial and innovative with significant ongoing investment in marketing and NPD, the business is now seeking to appoint a National Account Manager to drive sales of both the current brand portfolio

and some new exciting NPD brand launches planned for 2016 in the Out of Home channel. Customer responsibility will include major retail coffee shop chains, wholesalers, cash & carry groups, plus others.

The job remit is varied and with full P&L responsibility will include all aspects of commercial negotiation, joint business planning  and the day to day people management of one direct report.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic NAM, currently working in FMCG in a food or drink brand-based company to join a fast growing business with plenty of future development opportunities. You’ll need a proven track record of commercial success with previous experience of head office negotiation, JBP’s and modern category management processes gained in either Retail Convenience, Wholesale/Cash & Carry, Foodservice or Grocery Multiples.

Importantly, you will need good planning, organisation and analytical skills combined with a “can do” attitude and strong team working cross-functional skills, as well as the ability to build effective internal and customer relationships. To be successful you will need to display a confident, articulate and highly personable style together with the passion, motivation and desire to move on to the next level in due course.

The role is home based in the North, Midlands or South with a requirement to attend the Midlands Head Office (M6/M42/M40) c.2 days per week.
