My client is a manufacturer of healthy vegetarian foods. They have an excellent reputation for a young company and have been growing year on year; as part of their plan for ambitious on-going growth they are expanding their team by recruiting for a New Business Development Supervisor.   This role will take full responsibility for generating new business and targeting prospective customers. The ideal candidate must be financially astute. This role would ideally suit someone from a financial background who is looking to move into a customer facing role and develop a career within the commercial side of the FMCG industry.

Duties:

  • Calculate prices/margins/mark-ups/forecasts
  • Provide market data/financial information
  • Using SAGE/Excel including v-lookup & IF formulas.
  • Providing strong interpretation of data and financial information / Numerate and analytical, calculate prices, margins and mark-ups.
  • Following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings
  • Overseeing the development of marketing literature
  • Writing reports
  • Providing management with feedback
  • Ability to build strong relationships with existing customers and contacts in order to bring on new business
  • Communicating new product developments to prospective clients
  • Planning and preparing presentations 
  • Experience of creating and rolling out marketing campaigns
  • Attending trade-shows

    The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong Microsoft Office skill set and SAGE/Excel including v-lookup & IF formulas.
  • Highly analytical with an ability to provide strong interpretation of data and financial information / Numerate and analytical, with the ability to calculate prices, margins and mark-ups.
  • Financially astute.
  • Effective account management, maintaining accurate customer records and ensuring that long term relationships are developed.
  • Pro-actively seeking all sales opportunities, implementing new product and promotional plans.
  • A strong eye for detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ambitious, self-motivated and career driven.

  • Good commercial acumen exhibiting strong ability to analyse numeric & analytical data.
  • Effective negotiation skills.

    This position will allow the ideal candidate to join a growing business with the chance to quickly progress and develop their career in a great industry. Package is negotiable around £18-22k + incentives.
