Category Manager - Leading FMCG Business

Our client are a leading FMCG business who pride themselves on their consumer led innovation and healthy, family orientated brands. Widely regarded as category experts with their market leading and award winning brands, they are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join their team as Category Manager!

You will be responsible for owning the portfolio and being directly responsible for managing your own Top 4 retailer relationship! You will be responsible for driving category engagement in a customer facing role, acting as the central driving force behind the brands success, delivering ideas and solutions that engage shoppers and provide maximum value to the business and their retailer. You will develop and build upon the lasting relationships with the key retailer, being fully engaged with the process to advise the retailers on all aspects of Category Management, providing recommendations on range, promotions, space and performance. You will also have exposure to supporting and influencing brand plans across the portfolio.

The successful candidate will have a 2:1 degree or higher, with strong Category Management and Sales experience within the FMCG market (retailer/customer facing exposure is essential!).You will have powerful communication skills and excellent self-awareness, with the ability to influence and build lasting relationships with key stakeholders. You will be experienced in using and analysing data software and insights (Kantar, IRI etc.).
