An exciting opportunity has arisen in a global personal care and baby care manufacturer for a Junior Product Manager. This role will assist the group with all tasks relating to the marketing of retail brands.

The key responsibilities will be to:
  • Analyse the market using Nielsen, Kantar, etc as well as Retailer's EPOS sales data to spot opportunities and weaknesses that robust plans to resolve can benefit both the business and the customer.
  • Support the NAMs managing the customers from a product and marketing perspective.
  • Support the Retailer with Retail Brand Management expertise.
  • Interface with the Technical Key Account Manager to be able to provide product expertise to the retailer when necessary.
  • Manage the mix of several product categories and a high number of sku's for each of these categories.
  • Project manage complex projects involving cross-functional (often virtual) teams to deliver the end result on time and to budget.
  • Have an in depth knowledge of the UK Market dynamics, retailers and manufacturers to be able to support the sales organization in UK and represent the business as a professional Retail brand expert.
  • Be responsible for the preparation, maintenance and tracking of the NPD database.
  • Assists with the design and origination of packaging and printed materials; liaises with agencies, production sites and printers.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining all sales support material for the brand. Develops presentations, monitors and manages range changes, ensures availability of sample packs.

  • Experience of FMCG Product Management
  • Exposure to retailer branded products would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of private label marketing would be an advantage
  • An understanding of insight agency data would be beneficial
  • Experience in presenting plans to top 4 grocery customers
