The role of Customer Marketing Manager is to understand the 3 year brand strategy and align key investment, activity and execution discipline with our sales teams and customers. This role will work specifically with some of our biggest strategic customers in the Mult Grocer Channel.
This will require the individual to spend a considerable amount of time with sales teams and customers, understanding their challenges and sharing consumer and category thought leadership in order to align opportunities and bring our brands to life.
The Customer Marketing Manager will form an integral part of the multi-functional selling team (MFST) and will therefore be required to have a strong understanding of the commercial relationship and trading strategy (routed in brands) that we are trying to develop.
Responsibilities as Customer Marketing Manager will include:
- To develop a detailed understanding of the needs of the Mult Grocers with regard to Customer Strategy, outlet/format type, shopper profiles/behaviours (missions and occasions), Customer Marketing activity and commercial requirements
- To understand the Brand ambition and plans and match Brand opportunities with Customers and Outlets, quantifying the size of the opportunities and the investment plan to deliver them
- To develop the detailed Calendar of activity for the Customers, detailing the desired consumer/shopper behaviour changes, desired look of success in outlet, the detailed costs of execution and ROI
- Work with Category Manager to develop a consistent & compelling Category selling story for big moment activity and ongoing brand growth Influence / Sell in our proposals to customers ensuring they hit the sweet spot and deliver against the 5P plan Monitor activity, track its progress and take corrective action where required to ensure activity delivers against objectives
- Evaluate activity against objectives and incorporate the learnings into improving the effectiveness and financial performance of future activity.
We're looking for candidates with the following attributes to apply:
Business related Degree or Marketing Qualifications Experience in working in Sales & Marketing roles for large FMCG organisation Strong commercial acumen and ability to understand Profit & Loss management
