The Role

Bradburys are looking for talented and energetic Account Managers to win and develop profitable business with our key customers creating excellent relationships which sustain long term growth. Reporting directly to the Sales Director you will naturally be highly numerate and a strategic thinker who understands customer dynamics in an intuitive way.

Organised, with great planning skills, you will be highly credible, as well as a believable, skilled and assured presenter with excellent interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to adapt your style to influence internal and external customers.
It is important that you can demonstrate delivering impressive sales growth across your own portfolio of brands, managing at least one major retail account with full P and L responsibility as well as developing and managing joint customer business plans.  It would be ideal if you knew a thing or two about cheese but if not a good knowledge of fresh produce would be an advantage. In this exciting and ever changing sector you are constantly identifying and developing new products and concepts as it is essential that we strive to provide the customer with what they don’t know they want!

Sometimes problems do arise and using creative problem solving these are dealt with in a timely and proactive manner. This will see you liaising with supply chain, production, procurement and finance ensuring your strong internal relationships result in a positive outcome for the customer.

In this role you will have demonstrated tenacity and resilience, with flexibility to cope with a fast moving, sometimes uncertain environment relying on your instinct and quick decision making.  Your relationship building skills will enable you to be the perfect ambassador for Bradbury’s.

What we are looking for...

As an organisation we place customers at the heart of our thinking, we are an honest and ethical business, taking pride in what we do and how we do it. It is therefore imperative that you can demonstrate integrity, fairness and have exceptionally high standards.

It’s important that you can translate the company strategy into clear ambitions for yourself.  You will need willpower, tenacity and the confidence to challenge others while remaining respectful.

Remember we have a flat management structure, innovation is led by YOU, YOU will be asked to take risks, YOU will be leading change, YOU will be rewarded for business improvements and sales that bring tangible benefits.

HOWEVER – you will be exposed, the person succeeding will be excited by the opportunity to stand out and be counted, accept that mistakes are part of learning and understand that real success only comes to those who are remembered.

Company

Challenging, creative, passionate, crusading, courageous, and innovative – How do we achieve all of this? Because our business has been around for almost 130 years and our experience has resulted in us becoming the leading independent speciality cheese business in the UK, providing award winning cheeses to customers in the UK and across the globe.
As an industry leader we pride ourselves on our ability to bring fantastic products to market, in understanding the consumer and our excellent relationships with our customers.  Our plan is simple, to be the most inspiring cheese business in the UK – How? By attracting only the very best people, those who are remembered, who are creative and deliver innovative solutions to their customers, inspiring our customers with our passion for cheese and creating long lasting partnerships.  We attract ‘goal scorers’, team players who can transform a team from average to outstanding with a huge amount of honesty and trust. We operate with guidelines not tramlines, translating thoughts into actions, creating solutions, and taking risks while working with a high level of integrity.
We want you to challenge opinion, create what hasn’t yet been created and take products to customers that they didn’t know they wanted, only to realise they can’t live without them.  As the largest privately owned cheese business in the UK there is genuine opportunity to make a difference, there are no ceilings, no locked doors and the flat management structure means that anything (within reason) is possible.

We have achieved this enviable position through responding creatively to the needs of our customers and flexing our approach as times and fashions change.  With premises in Buxton, we are well positioned for all our customers and with a recent investment in new premises, offer state of the art manufacturing while remaining true to our roots.
