Job Details

At Arla, we do so much more than make some of the world's favourite dairy products. We make healthy taste delicious, mornings worth getting up for and family dinners unforgettable. Cravendale®, Anchor®, Lurpak® and Tickler® - names like these make us a vital, natural part of modern life in over 100 countries around the world. We are 4,000 UK and 19,000 global employees at the heart of it. Every single one of us plays an important role and together we build on our 10bn Euros turnover and establish our position as one of the largest dairy companies in the world.

Interim and Permanent Category Manager Opportunities

Due to a period of maternity leave and continued growth within the business we are looking for both interim and permanent Category Managers to join our team.

Reporting into the respective Category Controllers, these are key roles within a high performing team where successful candidates will have full responsibility for specific categories with one of our key customers. You will work closely with the Category Controllers to ensure key strategic opportunities for growth are identified and ensure that these growth opportunities for the customer are fully delivered while also 'delivering the basics' that the customer requires.

Within these roles you will have full customer facing responsibility for your nominated categories along with all customer weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting. Supporting the customer with the creation and delivery of aligned category strategies, you will work cross functionally internally across the wider Category team.

Creating clear direction that monitors performance of specific plans on an ongoing basis, you will make sound recommendations as to any changes or modifications required, working collaboratively with key internal functions such as Shopper Marketing and Merchandising, in order to develop integrated value driving initiatives. Supporting both internal and external customers with in depth category knowledge that allows them to make informed decisions which help them deliver their objectives, you will develop best category practice through sharing approaches and ideas and actively seeking ways to improve what we do and how we do it.

To be successful in these roles you will have previous FMCG category management experience working within a retailer facing role. You should also be an expert user of Nielsen / IRI and Kantar databases. You will be highly self-motivated and results driven with the ability to deliver within timescales, whilst being an effective communicator who is capable of building strong working relationships.

In return you can expect a competitive salary and benefits package and the opportunity to work for a forward thinking, progressive global organisation that recognises and rewards talent.
