Our client is a £1bn+ UK division of a major European Chilled Foods Group with a reputation for being one of the UK’s leading food companies. With a clear vision and strategy for growth based on acquisition, innovation and investment in both manufacturing capability and people development the business continues to be a major force in both Grocery Retail and Foodservice/B2B channels.

Having successfully built a strong Foodservice business we are now looking to appoint an experienced,  high-performing Commercial Manager to work within our Foodservice Ingredients team managing a selection of our blue chip B2B and food manufacturing customers.

Having developed your career up to National Account Manager level within a recognised own-label added value food business, you have already developed a strong understanding of providing product development and Ingredient solutions to major B2B account customers and in using all of your commercial skills and technical understanding to influence and deliver the most appropriate and cost-effective solution.  Ideally we are seeking candidates with a previous B2B/Ingredients commercial background in meat, protein, pizza or pub catering categories. Alternatively, you may be currently working in a Product Development or Technical capacity for a relevant food company and now wish to move into a customer-facing commercial role. In either case we would like to hear from you.

Above all, you are motivated about food development and understand the art of successfully adding commercial value to the business. Additionally, you are a highly driven and tenacious individual with an enthusiastic and personable style which enables you to build strong relationships both internally and externally.

The role is home based, with a requirement to attend the company’s Midlands Head Office (within easy access of M42/M40) at least once per week. Additionally there will be an occasional requirement for some European travel.
