We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our Frozen Sales team.

Due to continued success we are seeking to appoint a Business Development Manager with our Frozen Sales Team.

The Role (New Business- Pioneering Accounts)

This role is very much focused Growth & New Business Development- What We call Pioneering Accounts. In this regard key drivers will be-

  1. Continued Growth with Frozen Discounters (Building Business within Current Accounts)
  2. Forecourt Development & Licensed Operators -  To understand the Opportunity and then Devise & Executive a Go To Market Strategy
  3. Convenience Multiples – the development of mini multiple operators to drive core distribution and drive profitable growth.
  4. Food To Go Channel- Hot Pizza-  To take ownership of our ‘Hot Pizza’ development in the above through collaborative working with our colleagues in ‘Foodservice’ to bring Dr Oetker Pizza to market as a ‘Food To Go’ proposition. (This is of high strategic priority for the business and an opportunity for someone to make a real name for themselves.)

Day to Day responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring delivery of robust business plans in order to meet budgeted targets (volume, revenue, profit)
  • Managing the interface between the Customer/Depot's and Dr. Oetker to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of the category and to use this knowledge to deliver category growth with your customers through demonstration of an objective category management approach.
  • Developing accurate forecast assessments by product to minimise wastage and maximise service levels
  • Liaising internally with the relevant sales and marketing personnel to identify competitive complimentary activities and
  • Recommend new profitable opportunities.
  • Maintaining detailed budgeting and expenditure controls.
  • Responsibility for the safety, legality and quality of all products and processes within the remit of the role.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have a degree or similar and ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience within FMCG industry; ideally with direct experience of Commercial Account Manager at either a National or Regional/Depot level. You will have strong selling, negotiating and influencing expertise and a good working knowledge of delivering a Branded Proposition. Good organisation, time management, analytical and data interpretation skills are essential for this role. Being a strong team player with the ability to work on own initiative and being IT literate (Microsoft Office) and numerate are a must.
