Category Manager

We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual to join our client's team as a Category Manager, an extremely exciting opportunity in which you will be responsible for building and managing the relationship with one of the Top 4 major retailers. This is a truly exciting opportunity in which you will be the central driving force behind the brands continuous success, delivering ideas and solutions that engage shoppers and provide maximum value to the business and their key retailers.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Driving category engagement with one of the major retailers in a customer facing role.
• Developing and building upon the relationships with the key retailers, being fully engaged to advise and collaborate with the retailers on all aspects of Category Management, promotional activity and developing the strategic direction to champion long term sustainable growth.
• Providing recommendations on range, promotions, space and performance, all while putting the shopper at the heart of the decision making.
• Working collaboratively with the sales and marketing teams to facilitate innovative NPD by providing a robust category rationale developed from insight generation.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be degree educated, with strong experience in Sales and/or Category Management within the FMCG market (retailer/customer facing exposure).
• Powerful communication skills and excellent self-awareness, with the ability to influence and build lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
• Ability to effectively use and analyse data software and insight such as Nielsen.
