Category Manager
Up to £45,000 + Car / Allowance
Better Placed are proud to be partnering with a leading FMCG business based in East Yorkshire. It is an extremely exciting time for the business which has experienced a great amount of success and as a result is looking to add a Category Manager to their Category Management function.
As the Category Manager you will deliver compelling Category Strategies based on consumer/shopper insights ensuring growth for key customers and helping to maintain / develop key strategic relationships. The company is focused on innovation and as a result are at the forefront of new product development allowing them to maintain there market leading position. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Category Manager to be part of a high performing team managing key grocery multiple accounts.
The ideal candidate will be a have previously managed category relationships with customers and will play a pivotal role in category strategy and range reviews. You will be able to build and deliver category plans based on consumer/shopper insights ensuring that the business continues to provide best in class plans to their key customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the annual category plan to execute the category vision, merchandising and promotional strategies.
- Identify and manage customer specific category initiatives and projects to increase sales and profitability.
- Lead and deliver the range, seasonal review and gap analysis processes with customers.
- Range management.
- Lead and deliver the promotional calendar.
- Lead and deliver merchandising reviews and point of purchase tactics.
- Category performance tracking.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to identify category opportunities and deliver category and customer strategies which are focused on consumer needs and will influence shopper behaviour.
