A great senior opportunity has arisen to join a fast growing business in the non-food consumer goods industry renowned for stylish, design-led products for the home including soft furnishings, textiles and bedding. The company have vast history and heritage, an unrivalled reputation in the industry and a portfolio of very well established branded products. Our client have enjoyed a successful year and are targeting further growth for 2016. An opportunity has arisen to add a Sales Director to the existing senior management team to aid future growth plans.

As Sales Director you will be tasked with leading and developing the sales team dealing with multiple retailers and independents. You will be personally responsible for your own portfolio of accounts likely to include UK retailers for example Debenhams, Dunelm or Wilkinsons. This person will be expected to lead from the front, ensure all KPIs are delivered both individually and across their team. Alongside this you will work very closely with the Commercial Director to implement new promotions, pricing and overall product profitability.

The successful candidate must have very strong leadership experience ideally as a Director in a similar product category. You must have managed a team, have strong experience of the retail sector as highlighted above. It’s possible this person could be a Sales Director looking for a new challenge with a market leading business or you may be ambitious and looking to take the next step in your career. Experience of operating in the home furnishings industry would be beneficial but other closely related product categories will be considered if you able to demonstrate all other attributes. Naturally this person must bring enthusiasm, strong communication skills and a proven track record in a commercial environment. You must also have strong analytical skills and be familiar with relevant systems used.
