My client is a manufacturer of specialist catering equipment, they are looking to appoint a Area Sales Chef to cover Scotland and North East England; this would focus predominately on Scotland but will take in the North east of England to include Northumberland and Tyne and Wear.

With an established and innovative product range familiar to all in the commercial catering sector, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a true market leader.

I am looking for applicants with a Chef background who are now in sales or have had some previous sales experience. Ideally candidates will have held a head chef position but those with Hospitality and Catering NVQ or 706-1 706-2 will certainly be considered.

The role will involve advising, demonstrating and selling this equipment to chefs, catering managers, buyers and owners. Sales will also be won through building strong relationships with the established catering equipment dealer / distributer networks in Scotland and the North East.

Coming from a Chef background you will know what makes a Chef tick, and what the Chef’s needs are, selling the features and benefits of these products should come easy.

The role will be a mixture of working in tandem with the established dealer representatives, as well as working alone following up leads and generating new business with the end-user directly. 

To apply you will need sales experience and have worked as a chef in a commercial kitchen. This coupled with a strong work ethic, outgoing and engaging personality and entrepreneurial flair.
