Junior National Account Manager – Grocery top 4

£40,000 + Company car + Benefits

Office Based – Midlands (flexible)

An exciting opportunity for a Junior National Account Manager has developed with a market leading, global manufacture of chilled and frozen food products. As part of a larger group the current turnover is £6.5bn and they employ 98,000 employees on a global basis with presence in 20 different countries. Their extensive product range includes both branded and private label ready meals and added value meat products. As a market leader within their category they have a very strong presence within the Retail, Foodservice and Food Manufacturer channels.  Due to their success and strong year on year growth, they looking to add a Junior National Account Manager to their retail sales team.

Key Responsibilities In This Role Include:

  • First point of contact for customer related issues into the Business Unit on a day to day basis to ensure Customer needs are dealt with on a timely basis and appropriately.
  • Achievement of sales budget in terms of Revenue and GM2 target by analysing weekly performance and regular customer contact.
  • Forecasting on a weekly/Monthly basis as appropriate for the business.
  • Report and Analyse sales performance of customer, ensuring this is communicated to BU Manager. Identify corrective actions to achieve targets.
  • Collaboration with support function including Factory planning, Technical, Supply Chain, NPD, and Procurement to ensure sales orders are achieved and new business is launched on time in full.
  • Prepare, audit and gain approval from the B U Manager for all costings and promotions prior to quoting the customer.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have experience in a commercial role within the food industry. It is essential you have an understanding of the retail channel, and be a strong influencer who can contribute actively within a team environment.
