Trade Marketing Manager

One of the UK's leading food manufacturers is seeking a personable, creative and commercially savvy Trade Marketing Manager to develop and effectively execute the launch of a confectionary sub category across all channels in new store locations.

Reporting to the Head of Department, in the role of Trade Marketing Manager you will drive the success of these impulse items – identifying the appropriate trade marketing leaders and assuming responsibility for point of sale development, sourcing and solutions, trade press support and sales presenters. You will work cross-functionally across the Commercial Team and will provide trade marketing support to our existing in-home consumption portfolio.

There will be ample scope to make your mark and impress in a senior marketing role that will see you deliver best in class communications and significant in-store impact, as you meet and exceed the business plan turnover and profit targets.

Your additional responsibilities:

• Developing customer relationships at both a buyer and customer planner level to understand their activation options and requirements.
• Helping drive distribution on key in-home ranges, exploiting synergies with increased focus and investment on the sub category in question.
• Collaborating with a trade marketing PR agency to increase awareness for the proposition.
• Budget management.

What our client is looking for:

To succeed, you'll have an action-orientated, entrepreneurial approach, great relationship-building skills and a background working in blue chip FMCG businesses, particularly in the impulse channel. You'll have impressive experience of point of sale development and sourcing, significant shopper insight knowledge, and will ideally have category management understanding, alongside experience of successfully managing agencies and suppliers.
