Procurement Assistant | Good Progression | Large business

Our client is a very large and highly regarded fresh produce business who are looking to strengthen their procurement team with the appointment of a Procurement Assistant. This person will ideally have a background in the fresh produce industry and be looking to progress their career in a procurement capacity.

The role of Procurement Assistant:-
Working closely with the Procurement Manager across a broad range of different fruit products sourced from around the world.
Liaising with a range of growers and suppliers, ensuring orders are sufficient to cover expected orders from the retail customers.
Working closely with the commercial team, to ensure the sales forecasts for the products are as accurate as possible.

The ideal candidate:-
Will have a background in the fresh produce industry and be looking to progress their career down a procurement route.
Will be comfortable dealing with suppliers in foreign countries. Spanish would be a good to have but not essential.
Must have good organisational skills and be able to juggle multiple tasks, whilst prioritising the most urgent.
Good experience of Excel will be essential
