Job Details

Reporting to the International Marketing Director, as Head of Consumer Insights your main purpose will be to lead the continuous and ad-hoc research and insights activity for the International division of this global food manufacturing business. Known throughout the world for their brands, you will instantly recognise them and I’m sure eaten them at some point! This is a highly visible global role that will have a high degree of impact throughout the business.

As Head of Consumer Insights you will ensure that locally relevant insight is built into regional and global initiatives for innovations and communications. You will establish and build global partnerships with key agencies to deliver great ROI on the brand development budget and build the KPI’s so that you can track the development of a mega global brand.

The Role:

  • Champion a focus on penetrating local consumer insight to unlock growth.
  • Lead and undertake research plans for global and regional initiatives.
  • Measure and evaluate launch plans.
  • Validate the innovation platforms to ensure they are relevant to the markets.
  • Using insights you will build and define the brand strategy and use local insights to validate the positioning of the brand.
  • Own the relationships with key global agency partners.
  • Implement tracking and reviews to measure in-market success.
  • Lead and undertake the ad-hoc research programme.
  • Use existing UK insights and apply to applicable markets.

The Requirements:

  • A proven track record within Consumer Insights from within an FMCG business and preferably from a global perspective.
  • Educated to degree level of the equivalent.
  • Experience of working within emerging markets, such as Africa and the Middle East, would be an advantage.
  • Excellent relationship builder who is highly collaborative.
  • Strong communicator.
  • An inspiring leader capable of building confidence and expertise within the team.
  • An entrepreneurial flair and able to adapt to change.
  • The ability to lead and inspire from the front.
