Full description:

We are recruiting a National Account Manager, for a highly innovative, forward thinking, dynamic and Fast Growing Food Import/Distribution Business, This is a permanent position and offer's the right candidate a superb long-term opportunity.

The company sells a wide range of American Imported Food products in various categories to all UK trade channels and your role is primarily focused on new business development within the Wholesale, C&C and Symbol trade channels and it is suited only to people who are target driven, sales hungry and who can exploit their exceptional sales skills to deliver results. You must also be flexible to the needs of an FMCG business and have exceptional communication skills with a focused and organized approach

Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you will have total autonomy in the role, with responsibility for designated sales targets, ensuring development of your customer base and an increase in growth and distribution. An excellent networker you will have a keen eye for identifying and creating opportunities.

You will have the support and backup of a highly dedicated, effective and company-focused team who will ensure that you have all the support and tools necessary to succeed.

Skills & Experience Requirements:

  • Sales experience in the FMCG industry.
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Developing and reviewing business plans
  • Increasing sales by proactively seeking out and growing new business opportunities
  • Effectively managing and growing existing accounts
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written
  • Confident presentation skills at all levels to both small and large groups
  • Experience of dealing with Supermarkets, Wholesale, C&C and Symbol retailers would be a required for this role

To succeed in the role you will have:

  • Exceptional commercial awareness coupled with a proven track record gained within a progressive FMCG environment in National Accounts 
  • Be able to demonstrate a track record of success in FMCG sales.
  • Demonstrated impressive business achievements through consumer insight and bringing energy & motivation to your role
  • Strong relationship-building skills, and are ready to make an impact on strategy and category plans from day one. 
  • Minimum 2 years experience within Food and Drinks Trade is required to be considered for this job.

Position: Permanent

Benefits: Salary + Bonus + Car or Car allowance + Expenses

This is an Office Based Role. However will require travelling nationally.
