An exciting new opportunity has arisen within one of the UK’s leading tea and coffee manufacturers. With hundreds of years in the industry and a number of their own tea estates spread across the globe they are an international player in the hot beverages marketplace. They are a hugely ethical business sourcing all ingredients via Fairtrade means and are Rainforest Alliance certified. Having historically focussed more-so on private label tea and coffee blends they are now expanding into the branded market with a number of exciting new products. With a huge array of different varieties available and having seen some great recent success they are now looking for a National Account Manager to take over and develop new business within the Foodservice channel.

Working closely with the current Head of Sales you will be responsible for developing and implementing the sales strategy for the Foodservice channel. As an area the business has not focussed on previously this is an exciting chance to really shape the role around yourself. You will have P&L responsibility over any accounts that you do secure and be tasked with developing both private label and branded sales. There will be an expectation that you actively develop new business opportunities within your account base and ensure that the commercial strategy is in line with the overall plans of the wider business. You will also have the opportunity to work very cross-functionally across all areas of the business including marketing and NPD.

In order to be considered for this opportunity you will need to have experience managing Foodservice accounts at national level. Specific account experience in this channel with end user accounts, distributors or wholesalers is essential. Candidates who currently work at regional level but manage a selection of national accounts will also be considered. You will need to be commutable to Wakefield as this is an office based role with flexibility for a degree of home working. You will be a hungry, driven individual with the ability to pitch and present confidently at a senior level and be both numerate and computer literate. It is also essential that you have experience selling both branded and private label goods.
