PepsiCo are on the look-out for a National Account Manager to join our Commercial team based at our Head-Office in Reading, Berkshire.

Distinguished by our energetic, determined people, our sales teams combine a strategic and consultative approach with incisive consumer data to help both PepsiCo and our customers flourish. Our National Account Managers (NAM's) are responsible for building and maintaining outstanding customer relationships with our customers.

In this role, you'll manage, develop and deliver the format plans for one of our largest Grocery customers. You'll work across the account management team to build joint business plans that deliver against PepsiCo UK share, space and revenue targets (within budgetary constraints of course!). You'll lead a cross functional agenda with internal and external teams to deliver PepsiCo UK account plans and work with the wider customer teams and PepsiCo Field Sales teams to activate these plans.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Developing strategy and account plans
  • Full trading accountability of One Stop, Tesco Express, Metro P&Ls
  • Full ownership of day-to-day management of Optimus
  • Delivering performance for Tesco Metro and Tesco Express based on retail sales out data from Tesco Link and ACNielsen,
  • Responsibility for delivery of week 1 distribution of NPD
  • Responsibility for owning the working relationship with Tesco Express, Metro & One Stop Commercial Managers.
  • Organise and run reviews with relevant Format Commercial Directors and Tesco Channel Head to include performance reviews, sales driving opportunities, future NPD and Promotional Activity.
  • The delivery of ad-hoc analyses and research to Commercial Team to add insight into Tesco Formats situation - analyses based on external market data and internal Tesco sales data.
  • Deliver the single serve strategy for Tesco Formats to include equipment solutions and innovative new offerings


What you'll need:
  • Degree educated or of degree calibre.
  • Experience of working within an FMCG environment, ideally with national grocery and/ or wholesale/ impulse account experience.
  • FMCG Sales background with experience of account ownership.
  • Strong results orientation, track record of hitting and exceeding targets.
  • Strong commercial and analytical ability required to manage both the operational and strategic agenda.
  • Excellent communicator and relationship builder with a proven ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Skilled negotiator with the ability to conduct multi-faceted negotiations at both tactical and strategic/contractual level.
