Main Purpose of the Job
This role will cover the area from Birmingham up to Manchester
To manage a team of Area Sales Manager’s, ensuring delivery of a range of KPI’s. To deliver agreed sales targets/volumes/revenues and operational customer service related tasks across the range of PayPoint products with the primary objective of business development to both the retailer and PayPoint. Maintain full coverage of retail calls in an agreed area and ensure full coverage is achieved at all times.
Develop relationships with key Symbol Group personal on a local basis and manage regional multiple accounts with a view to promote PP products and services.
Main Responsibilities
- To manage, mentor and train a team of Area Sales Manager’s.
- To develop strong working relationships with retailers/regional group managers/symbol group representatives to ensure they actively promote PayPoint products and services.
- To deliver against defined sales and Live targets agreed each week, month and quarter for designated area.
- To ensure completion of all operational tasks within the defined timescales and deadlines.
- To ensure Area Sales Manager’s comprehensively plan and prepare for each call, ensuring SMART objectives are set for each outlet each visit with a view of continually developing retailer business and PayPoint presence.
- To review transactions / business data provided to identify areas of opportunity, underperforming agents and track individual personal performances against KPI’s.
- Review and report on product dashboard data with regard to revenue and take appropriate action
- To contribute and participate in monthly Sales /Operational meetings
- To help deal with and resolve where possible, any queries and complaints encountered by the field where appropriate.
- Daily/Weekly/Monthly reporting against set targets.
- Ensure team adhere to the minimum standards laid out in the KPI/Standards document.
- Ensure strong relationships are developed and maintained with key Stakeholders within PayPoint.
- Key Performance Indicators
- Achievement of agreed weekly, monthly and quarterly targets.
- Achievement of all operational tasks with minimum overdue calls in designated area
- Plan/organise and deliver, by-monthly team meetings
- Ensure standard of work, in particular completion of PayPoint contracts and paperwork and quality of training delivered to the retailer is of the highest standard.
- Ensure 100% accuracy from Area Sales Manager’s device’s to record calls made, achievements and other specified information, communicating electronically back to PayPoint on a 24 hour basis.
- High personal conduct and appearance to reflect the professionalism of PayPoint Retail Services Field Team

- Field accompaniments, monthly 1:1’s and six monthly review/annual appraisal are delivered on time.
