About our Client:

A leading, own label UK food business are seeking an enthusiastic Category Executive to join the team following an internal promotion. Working across some of the UK’s best loved brands and private label products, this role will be support the Senior Category Manager on all of their Top 4 Accounts. This established business, driven by innovation, is looking for a committed FMCG professional who is looking to take the next step in their career.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate data detective; able to provide regular analysis of core markets' retail data and ad hoc investigations as requested. Always looking for context and driving market and competitor insight to support the National Account team and drive company and category growth. You will be addressing the retailer’s category needs by:

• Assisting the Category& Insight Manager in the production and presentation of reports to the Management Team

• Interrogate the various data sources ( Nielsen / Kantar / EPOS etc.) to become the Confectionery category expert, understanding key players and key trends
• Maintaining the Marketing Database and becoming the resident expert
• Analysis of all marketing activity to evaluate the efficacy and effectiveness to guide future activity
• Supporting sales teams in preparation of category selling stories, adding insight and assisting in the furthering of the sales / business priorities
• React quickly to adhoc insight requests

About You:

Along with UK grocery experience, we need Category Executives with an understanding of different data sources (IRI, Kantar, Nielsen, Dunhumby) and data analysis, solid data interpretation skills, an impactful and credible communication style, space planning knowledge and successful stakeholder management.
