Regional Sales Manager

Wines/FMCG 

Essential:

Working in the Wine or FMCG sector with some credible Wine knowledge/interest 


We are seeking a Sales professional with FMCG or Wine industry experience. 

It is a wide ranging customer base comprising Independent Retail, Wholesale/C&C, Regional Brewers and the Prestige On-Trade.

We require a real Wine enthusiast, ideally but not essentially WSET qualified and with demonstrable & successful Field Sales experience.

You must be hungry, energetic, highly driven, self-motivated, well organised and with a strong work ethic.

Your professional image and approach will shine through and you need to display a versatility that adapts and harmonises with the different variety of customers.

Skills/Experience/Attributes

  • A minimum of 2-3 years Field Sales experience in Wine or FMCG.
  • Ideally but not essentially WSET qualified and with a genuine desire to work in the Wine sector
  • A proven track record managing and growing a regional customer base 
  • Fully IT literate – Office Suite and Excel as a minimum
  • A full and clean UK driving licence
  • Excellent Presentation skills – design, content and delivery
  • A robust negotiator - margin and service level focused
  • A great relationship builder and networker
  • An influential/persuasive character – articulate, enthusiastic and sociable
  • Good communication skills – written and oral
  • Currently/recently in an Area/Regional Sales role 
  • Working to sales targets and achieving/exceeding these YOY
  • Some structured sales training will be advantageous
  • Living on patch – Essex, Cambs, Herts, Lincs, Leics, Northants, Beds.
