Exciting embedded position within a chilled food manufacturer, working with supply chain issues and managing customer relationships with a UK retailer.

As a newly created opportunity the role of Commercial Supply Chain Executive has been created as an embedded position working with the customer, a major UK retailer, on end-to-end initiatives.

This position is a catalyst for identification and implementation of opportunities. Initial focus will be on improvement of shelf-availability of products and removing inefficiencies within the supply chain.

As Commercial Supply Chain Executive the role will be primarily be based on customer site three to four days a week and rest of the time from the office in Middlesex.

The key responsibilities for position of Commercial Supply Chain Executive include: -
  • Alignment of demand across the full product range evidenced by forecast accuracy
  • Effective event management of new lines, promotions and mid-life changes
  • Managing Supply Chain Master Data including the likes of; buying multiples, lead times and transport
  • Assessment of stockholding and manage on-going collaborative planning


This is a hybrid role and requires a mix of skills and experience. You must have a good knowledge of supply chain and related issues, you will have worked within the food industry, with chilled or short shelf life experience, and understand the challenges involved in a fast-paced food environment. You must have an analytical approach to business and demonstrate the ability to collate, interpret and present data.

Alongside this, the ideal candidate will have previous customer-facing commercial experience, ideally with retail customers and an understanding of customer relationship skills required. You will also have the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You must be professional, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
