Vertical Advantage are delighted to be the chosen retained partners of Weetabix Food Company to grow and develop the Category Management business unit by recruiting the best talent in the market.   

Weetabix is a global food and drink business that is a key player within the breakfast category and is at the forefront across all channels in the UK.  

Currently going through a transitional phase in their approach to category leadership and with an exciting NPD pipeline, this will be a rewarding time for you to join the organisation and be part of shaping the Category vision for 2016.

The business currently has two fantastic opportunities:-

CATEGORY DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – CEREAL DRINKS
Winner of “Best Breakfast Product of 2015”, Weetabix On-the-Go Drinks has continued their leader of innovation in category status with the recent launch of their High Protein drink product range.  This role will be a high profile position within the business working with both the general category team and the specifically newly formed business unit for drinks.

CATEGORY DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – BREAKFAST CEREALS
Weetabix is the home of many of the world’s best loved cereal brands such as main brand Weetabix, Weetos, Ready Brek, Oatbix, Alpen including their new granola range and winner of “Best Cereal Product of 2015”, Banana Weetabix. 

You will have:-
•    High levels of personal energy and drive
•    Good potential leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence stakeholders
•    Strategic mind-set and business understanding 
•    Hands on with a passion for detail and strong analytical skills

Your experience will include:-
•    Graduate calibre with significant experience in a category or commercial/mktg role 
•    FMCG background with experience in working with UK grocery customers
•    Ability to engage and lead with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
•    Must have a genuine interest within the retail environment and customer strategy
•    Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to interpret data to create valuable insights
•    Able to deliver a strong and compelling category story
•    Able to display a strong understanding of shoppers, consumer’s and customer’s needs, attitudes and future requirements
•    Must be able to work with pace and be a naturally pro-active & passionate  individual
•    *RELOCATION* will be supported by Weetabix Food Company where required
