National Account Manager – Wholesale / Cash & Carry / UK Discounters
£45,000, car allowance, bonus, pension and private health care

The client we are working with is one of the UKs leading manufacturers of branded and own label ambient food products, with a turnover in excess of £180million. Due to continued year on year growth, they are now looking to recruit a National Account Manager to join their commercial team in the midlands.
As National Account Manager you will be responsible for managing the portfolios within the Wholesale / Cash & Carry and UK Discount sectors within the OOH channel.
Key Accountabilities Include:
- Using your knowledge of the Wholesale / Cash & Carry and UK Discount sectors to maximise business opportunities within this customer base.
- Developing a detailed knowledge of the customers and their objectives to proactively develop the account portfolio to achieve or exceed the target levels for customer sales and margins.
- Reporting on monthly progress against the plan and to respond positively to customer demand / market changes that necessitate changes to the plan.
- Developing an annual sales and profit budget for channel / portfolio to input into total OOH budget and to prepare sales forecast figures.
- To review sales performance against plan monthly as a minimum and to create contingency plans to recover any deficit.
Requirements:
- This role requires a minimum of 2 years customer facing selling experience within the Wholesale / Cash & Carry channels. It is preferable that you have also worked with UK Discounters, however not essential. All candidates with food and or drink experience will be considered for this opportunity.
