Food Buyer - Frozen | Major Multiple | London

Our client is a marketing leading and innovative food retailer passionate about delivering excellent quality premium products to its customer base.

The Role

As a Food Buyer you will be leading the category buying team, you will drive sales and market share whilst delivering profit through strategic buying. You will prepare and agree with the Head of Trading the buying and ranging strategies for the area by setting targets and objectives as part of the category plan. By planning and negotiating market leading promotions, you will provide the consumer with a great range of products. Working closely with the development team and supply base, you will ensure that the product development critical path targets are met both in a timely and cost effective manner.

The Person

You will have a good knowledge of food procurement and ideally experience within the frozen sector. By using your strong strategic and analytical skills, you can identify opportunities to improve profitability and reduce costs. As an influencer, you will use your negotiations skills to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and lead and manage the supplier base.
