Job Details

Our client is a global, multi-billion food company with a world class product portfolio and excellent trading relationships with the major UK grocery multiples. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a National Account Executive / BDM to drive sales & distribution across 50 strategic food service wholesalers reporting in to the National Account Manager, & to deliver account-specific objectives in terms of sales, profit, promotion & distribution.

You will work closely with the National Account Manager, the Business Unit Head, the customers, and the internal Supply Chain & Marketing teams to drive branded new product opportunities, and will act as a key point of contact for the customers on pricing & promotional issues. You will also be tasked with monitoring availability, sales, inbound and waste, and identifying opportunities in the supply chain to improve performance.

The ideal candidate will be of graduate calibre with strong numerical analysis skills, an excellent relationship-builder & great communicator (verbal & written) with a minimum of 2 years of FMCG commercial experience. Your background may be from territory, business development or account management in the multiple retail, out-of-home or wholesale sector or an Account Executive working with any of the above sets of customers.

You will be energetic and enthusiastic, with the ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels both within the business, but also with the customer and external agencies. Strong numeracy & communication skills are essential.

This position will give the successful individual a unique opportunity to help shape the future direction of the customer relationship, and will open up exciting career development prospects towards Senior National Account Management.
