Job Details
A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a leading branded food manufacturer for a Category Manager working with a Top 4 grocery customer.
This role will be managing a Top 4 customer with a view to developing best in class category management strategy, process & implementation.
Key responsibilities:
- Driving the category vision both internally & with the customer
- Engaging retailers and delivering a market rejuvenation strategy
- Development of a clear point of purchase vision and plan by customer for the category
- Delivery of range, display & distribution recommendations
- Working with customers to create joint category plans for brand and private label growth
- Proactive management of category partnerships
- Providing category insight to influence current and future direction
- Thorough understanding of the consumer, the shopper & the market dynamics
This role would suit a bright and enthusiastic category manager from an FMCG business, ideally food but non food will be considered. Top 4 customer exposure is strongly preferred and the successful candidate will become and expert in their field.
Strong analysis, internal engagement skills and a deep analytical thinker is required, coupled with excellent presentation skills and a desire to work their way up in the division.
This is an office based role, but candidates will be expected to meet their customer once a week and there is potential for 1 day working from home.
