Job Details
Responsibilities
- Working closely with a Finance Systems Technical Lead within the IT Systems team to:
manage analysis, design, development, implementation and support of all finance Systems ensuring they meet the business needs.- manage all phases of the testing and quality assurance to ensure all finance systems are developed, implemented and maintained according to industry best practise
- identify opportunities to improve all finance systems through streamlining, automation and use of standard delivered processes
- Analysis of finance systems challenges across all finance systems in the business and collaborating with the wider IT and Finance teams, as well as 3rd parties, to propose, design, develop, implement and support solutions to this challenges
- Shape implementation of a new finance solution [potentially Netsuite] across the business, including through interaction, understanding and review of the existing finance systems and processes manage the implementation impact whilst ensuring industry best-practise
- Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure we take maximum advantage of in-place finance systems whilst determining a roadmap for development into the future
- Maintain a high level of knowledge in advanced and emerging finance systems technology to help shape the finance systems strategy
- Provides knowledge and support across all finance systems, in conjunction with the IT leadership team, to prioritise projects, assist in department strategic planning and business case development, ensure commitments are met while providing high quality results
- Help manage external finance systems suppliers ensuring they meet their contractual obligations, adhere to industry best practise and deliver high quality results in a cost effective manner
Background
- Degree or advanced degree or similar with ~10 years' experience or equivalent
- Strong accounting or finance background, ideally with an associated qualification or similar with excellent understanding of finance processes across Purchase-toPay, Order-to-Cash, Treasury and Fixed Assets as well as Record-to-Report
- Experience supporting finance solutions ideally within a Retail, FMCG or F&B business
- Experience of business analysis for finance system implementations/upgrades, ideally NetSuite
Skills
- Excellent analytical thinking and planning skills with the ability to develop and implement finance solution roadmaps
- Excellent understanding of systems and business analysis, business process mapping and process engineering with >5 years practical experience
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and persuade others
- Ability to identify priorities and achieve results with a sense of urgency, give honest straightforward opinions and willingness to contribute ideas/opinions
- Ability to balance results orientation, supporting people, and taking risks where appropriate
