Introduction:

We are currently working with one of our key global FMCG clients to recruit a Supervisor, Trade Marketing to join their London head office. Due to yet further expansion and success, my FMCG client are now looking to recruit a Senior Marketer to set strategic direction for the Trade Marketing function across Wholesale, Cash & Carry and Independent retail.

The Role:

Working as part of the Marketing and Sales team you will manage and lead on the design, development and planning of annual trade programmes and strategies. You will work in a truly multi-functional capacity and building relationships to facilitate the commercialisation of key brand initiatives.

You will sit within an established team that have a track record of delivering strong results. You will be given the opportunity to be held accountable for your work and the ability to progress your career within the business working as part of a dynamic and progressive team.

Key duties include:

  • Set strategic direction for the development of annual programs for retail and wholesale to engage, activate, educate, measure and reward brand growth
  • Propose and handle the creative development of commercialisation tools and materials
  • Closely coordinate with marketing, key accounts, distribution and sales teams
  • Coordinate the suppliers, ensuring that materials are created and produced on time and cost effectively and dispatched to the warehouse
  • Follow up and coordinate the briefings, design and development of outputs from the Trade Marketing agency
  • Assist in the measurement of the success of trade activity and make recommendations for future activities
  • Team leadership and development

The Candidate:

Successful candidates will process the following skills and behaviours:

  • Proven track record of working in a Trade Marketing capacity or similar role
  • Ability to set strategic direction for trade marketing working closely with field sales and distributors
  • Strong, classical FMCG background in Trade/ Customer/ Shopper Marketing
  • Project management
  • Strong communication skills able to operate cross functionally
  • Demonstrable experience of success in the commercialisation of key brand initiatives plus consumer engagement activities and programmes
