Brief: As a Regional Manager you will be required to manage the RDS & Demo Team Leaders within your given region, providing direction and support when required. You will recruit, develop, motivate and lead your team to ensure the end delivery against objectives driving performance and results.

Main duties and responsibilities

 Territory Management

  • Monthly review of regional sales taking action with lower performing stores, reporting results to CSM’s on monthly basis.
  • Take ownership of issue resolution in the field, coordinating RDS action and escalating where required.
  • Collate weekly retailer feedback to build client facing reports.

Management

  • Manage the LG sales Promoter team through Team Leaders or directly with Sales Promoters where appropriate.
  • Manage all employee relation issues including performance and conduct within the team ensuring you follow company procedures at all times.
  • Manage and co-ordinate Team Leaders and sales promoters to ensure maximum coverage throughout the team, including any holiday requested within the team.
  • During weekend coverage manage the co-ordination of all Team Leaders, ensuring all online reports are accurate and are submitted within the stipulated timeframe.
  • Complete field visits with Team Leaders on an 8 week cycle, conducting accompaniments and reviews in line with company procedures.
  • Manage the RDS Team through the Senior RDS team and directly where appropriate.
  • Co-ordinate and manage activity briefings to ensure efficient and effective completion.
  • Monitor the activity and moral levels of all team members of the regional team, acting as a mentor where suitable.
  • Monitor team KPI’s on a weekly basis and manage under-performance.
  • Ensure LG Sales Promoter / RDS and Team Leaders within given region have the appropriate tools, access to systems, knowledge and skills to maximise sales of target products.
  • Maintain all LG Sales Promoter / RDS and Team Leader records with 100% accuracy.
  • Be aware of retailer, competitor and market intelligence which supports your ongoing knowledge of the industry in which the project is based.
  • Anything else deemed necessary by the company and client.
  • Conduct Annual Appraisals and Quarterly 1-2-1’s with team focusing on PDPs and skill development.
  • Conduct Field Accompaniments/Audits on ‘ad hoc’ basis to monitor team activity and ensure they are being supported by their Senior RDS.
  • Positively communicate change to work objectives or processes to the team.
  • Ensure the team are regularly contributing to ‘feedback forums’ e.g. Google+ with detailed and insightful posts, ensuring all comments are followed up.

Recruitment  

  • Maintain staffing levels via effective planning to allow for prompt recruitment.
  • Work with RMG Recruitment Team and participate in recruitment assessment days to ensure a pipeline of talent exists in key areas.
  • Co-ordinate new starters and leavers, ensuring kit, new starter/leaver information, training and system access is set up and closed down accordingly.
  • Support the Activation team in all Promoter and Team Leader recruitment as and when required, ensuring positions aren’t vacant for a period of more than two weeks.

Other

  • Ensure all reports are accurate, timely and ‘client facing’.
  • Contribute to team meetings ensuring that client objectives are clearly communicated and the team represent RMG and LG positively and appropriately.
  • Be aware of retailer, competitor and market intelligence which supports your ongoing knowledge of the industry in which the project is based. 

Training

  • Co-ordinate and deliver LG Sales Promoter / RDS and or Team Leader training.  
  • Review and utilise training scoring data to drive appropriate support with LG Sales Promoter.
