Job Details

My client is a food manufacturer that operates across a number of different categories supplying to the major retailers. We are now looking for a National Account Executive to join a busy and fast paced team. Your role will be to support the National Account Manager on the management of a Top 4 retailer account and you will also take responsibility got the management of a smaller category within the portfolio. This is a definite career opportunity for the right candidate as the business is actively looking for applicants who can progress within the structure of the organisation and who want to grow their career to be more customer-facing in sales. Ideally you will have some experience already however we are open to looking at candidates who have come from a variety of backgrounds but have the right attitude to progress within the business.

The Role:

  • Carry out a full analysis of all promotional activity and presenting back with recommendations.
  • Provide a performance analysis of sales looking at the impact of launches, promotions, weather and other influences while looking for recommendations of how to improve.
  • Manage all internal communication to ensure a clear understanding of product range changes and promotions.
  • Undertake project work as and when required by the Commercial team.
  • Act as support for the National Account Managers and Controllers in the day to day running of the account.
  • Manage the relationship with the assistant buyer and stock control to further develop the relationship.
  • Generate weekly reports using retailer specific data sources.
  • Carry out weekly store visits to report on price and product changes.

The Requirements:

  • Some experience within a similar role and fast paced environment whether from category, supply chain or commercial.
  • Ideally an exposure to working with a major retailer.
  • Excellent IT skills and the ability to manage and analyse commercial data in order to draw conclusions and make recommendations with an eye for detail.
  • A confident communicator at all levels.
  • A strong team player who is focused on delivering team goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Able to act at pace and be resilient.
  • Strong organisational skills.
