Basic Salary Circa: £35,000 - £40,000 + Company Car or Allowance + Pension Scheme

My client plays a vital role in improving farm business efficiency and competitiveness in all areas of farming and growing. By acting on behalf of farmers and growers, my client allows them to have a competitive edge that they wouldn’t be able to achieve independently. Due to recent expansion, they are looking for someone to play a key role in liaising between my client and a portfolio of designated key food chain businesses.

The Role:

• Contribute to the overall development of trade marketing business plans, and communicate my clients marketing strategy and plans to key designated businesses in the food chain in the UK, in line with the business plan for their Food Chain team
• Manage the execution of campaigns developed by the Brand and Communications Teams, requiring understanding the business need in order to ‘sell’ campaign concepts to food chain
• Deliver all projects within the agreed timeframes and financial budgets, whilst always keeping an eye on cost optimization and recommending any improvements where necessary.
• Work collaboratively to develop and maintain productive relationships with a range of business contacts at designated food chain businesses in retailing and/or catering sectors in line with strategic focus and commercial opportunity.
• Ensure that all activities conform to a range of legal issues by working in conjunction with the Food Chain Team and legal team.
• Support the Food Chain Team Manager and the Head of Marketing in promoting a positive and collaborative culture within the team that is focused on delivering great service and excellent value for money.

The Requirements:

• Experience of dealing with a major retailer or catering businesses, possibly in a Sales, Category or Marketing or similar (possibly NAM or Category Manager)
• A degree or equivalent in Marketing, business management, business administration or similar are highly desirable.
• Budgetary management experience and well as strong influencing skills are essential.
• Strong organisational skills, planning/coordination and an ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise workloads.
• Attention to detail but able to see the big picture as well as being able to think critically and problem solve.
• You must be presentable with excellent communication skills with the ability to demonstrate a positive attitude and enthusiasm at all times.
