Salary:                                       Up to £40k (DoE) 10% performance bonus & company car


Working within the Samsung IM Training Team, you will be responsible for strategically leading and developing the learning and development team to support the overall business strategy. You will produce and execute organisational strategy and plans to meet training and development needs to suit internal and external audiences via various training tools and programs. This will include our online e-learning portal, content creation, induction plans, SIS/SES and training plans for all product launches within the IM division. You will arrange for the maintenance of all necessary materials relating to the effective delivery and measurement of training. Working with various channels and internal departments, you will identify and cascade the training needs and requirements to your team and assist with building training roll out plans. Alongside content and training delivery methods, you will also oversee the management of the online training portal and continuously review and make recommendations for improvements where required to ensure optimum results.

Main Duties and Areas of Responsibility:

  • Managing a team of Specialist Trainers / Managers including regular reviews

  • Management of content creation plans for all IM product launches.

  • Plan departmental/functional training budgets, forecast costs and delegate numbers as required by organizational planning and budgeting systems

  • Identifying training methods for the various environments and adapting the content and delivery around these

  • Working with the various channels and internal departments at HQ to ensure the content and training delivery is aligned

  • Cascading all relevant information and updates to the relevant members of the team

  • Leading regular team meetings to drive performance and consistency throughout the teams

  • Ensure engagement reviews with the Channel Account Teams including SES, SIS and Retail teams to ensure training alignment.

  • Proof read and sign off all content to ensure this is in line with the business focus and relevant to the audience

  • Conducting and attending meetings with various internal departments to effectively create roll out plans ahead of product launches

  • Identifying and making recommendations for change/improvement

  • Proactive approach to driving the business forward and identifying development areas

  • Embrace new product launches, creating and effectively communicating roll out plans

  • Gathering feedback from the relevant reams to measure the impact of the material and training delivery to ensure Best in Class

  • Continuously looking at innovative ways we can deliver our training

  • Managing the Backstage Manager to continuously review our online training portal and make recommendations for improvement where relevant and ensure all updates are effectively communicated to the relevant teams

  • Continuously looking to add value to the business

  • Monitor and report on activities, costs, performance, etc, as required.

    *CIPD/CTP qualification or similar Learning & Development qualification is required for this role as well as previous experience with working with online training portals and experience in a similar training role*
