One of Europe’s most successful manufacturers of both chilled food products have created a new opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager to help further develop their UK Chilled Desserts presence. Within the last 5 years the UK business has grown profitably by in excess of £40m, this is largely due to their constant development of market leading products. Their impressive product portfolio includes both branded and own label premium Chilled Desserts. They have a very strong offering within all of the top 6 grocery multiples as well as the various foodservice channels. Following on from the recent growth and the increased demand for their products they have created a new position for a Senior Commercial Manager to develop the Desserts offering within retail multiple customer portfolio.
Role
As a Senior Commercial Manager you will take full responsibility for the Desserts category within a specified account portfolio such as Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Tesco or Asda and Morrisons. You will operate at a strategic level and be capable of identifying and then taking advantage of the growth opportunities within the account. Given the nature of the category you will be closely involved with NPD from concept to launch. You will report to the Commercial Director, so you can expect decisions to be made quickly, as well as a degree of autonomy to influence the business.
Requirements
To be considered for this role you must be a driven and dynamic individual with a proven track record of growing and developing business within the top 5 multiples. As for product background, experience within a short shelf life category is preferred but not essential. It is important that you can fit into a real team culture but also have ability to stand on your own. My client is looking for a loyal individual that wants to be a real part of the company’s long term plans and growth strategy.
