BUYER - IMPULSE GROCERY

A Buyer of Impulse Grocery with a with this market leading retailer paying £45-55,000 (plus generous benefits including company car and bonus) sourcing products, negotiating with suppliers and engaging with internal stakeholders such as Supply Chain and Marketing to ensure the business delivers a market leading product offer.

Your new company:
A market leading multi-channel and multi-product retail business with stores throughout the UK and a fast growing on-line presence. They sell a wide range of products including grocery, food to go, health, beauty, well-being, DIY, homewares, gifts and electricals. A trusted and ethical brand they are looking for an ambitious Buyer to aide in the growth of one of their key food / grocery categories.

Your new role:
You will re required to deliver of a competitively priced customer offer without compromising quality via the management of supplier negotiations and promotions. You will manage category performance against budget via the ongoing evaluation of sales, margin, availability and profit as well as work in partnership with the Food Technical and NPD teams to ensure that all products, both branded and own brand meet the high standards set by the business

What you will need to succeed:
Your previous experience of working in a high volume, fast paced retail buying environment will mean you are a shrewd negotiator, with a style that is able to adapt to suppliers of varying sizes. With strong commercial and analytical skills and the ability to manage complex data and use sound reasoning to solve problems, you will utilise your in depth knowledge of the market to maximise sales and profits. You will also be adept at influencing at all levels to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your strong retail market and product knowledge, ideally in a grocery, chilled food or a dairy category will be key to the company's ongoing success
