Due to market-share growth a permanent Senior Buyer is needed for the business

The Job
You'll be required to manage your designated trading area, which will include pricing, product availability and ensuring you have the right product mix to deliver sales in line with set targets and budgets. A key part of the role will be to maximise returns from suppliers through negotiation and the development of products ranges as well as working with both suppliers and internal marketing teams to plan and manage your promotional calendar. You will also be required to work closely with NPD and Product Innovation teams to put together a market-leading own brand range

About you
To be considered for this role, you must have trading / buying experience in a retail, wholesale, cash and carry or foodservice environment where you will have demonstrable track record of success in delivering a profitable and innovative Chilled Food range. You will also need the ability to handle complex negotiations and to set / manage budgets to deliver sales against target. Ideally you will have experience of Trading within a Chilled Food category, which could be Dairy, Produce, Ready Meals, Food 2 go or similar
