Basic Salary Circa: Competitive Salary + Package
My client is an industry leading food business servicing food and beverage clients on a global scale, with group annualised sales in the billions. With an award winning company culture, the business prides itself on its continuous new product development and its position at the forefront of technological creativity in the industry. Due to sustained levels of growth and profitability, my client is looking for two Foodservice Account Managers (one based in Germany and one in France, ideally) to generate and execute sales opportunities with their designated accounts and demonstrate the potential to progress within the business.
The Role:
- Leading the development of the category you will seek to prospect and close new business opportunities through custom product and integrated solution selling to deliver profitable growth.
- Reporting into the Account Director, you will be given responsibility for some of my client’s biggest and highest profile accounts with some of the most widely recognised players in the Foodservice industry.
- Pro-actively defend and expand current business and identify a portfolio of quality growth projects.
- Develop strong strategic relationships within customers’ organisation including R&D, Marketing and Procurement and foster counterpart relationships within the business.
- Commercially astute, this role will require you to deliver business wins with favourable commercial terms and implement business pricing decisions.
- Proactively apply ‘Insight Sales’ methodology with your customers (full training is provided).
The Requirements:
- Must be fluent in English as well as German and/or French.
- At least 4 years’ experience in B2B Account Management, ideally with global customers in the foodservice/QSR arena.
- A degree in Food or Related Sciences would be a strong desirable but not essential but Food /Beverage industry experience is essential.
- Good working knowledge of food science and how it relates to product development and its commercialisation.
- This role will be home-based with extensive travel (up to 70%) so prepared to spend maximum quality time developing and nurturing multi-level contacts with customers.
- You must be positive, driven, articulate and persuasive with a strong grasp of numbers: i.e. understanding costs, margins, profit etc.
- Time management and strong organisational qualities are essential as you will often be required to travel and work remotely, as well as the ability to prioritise to ensure important objectives are met.
- You must be ambitious and career minded the successful candidate is expected to progress to higher levels of responsibility and possibly to Global Account Director within 2 years.
