The role

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Development Manager to join the sales team. Home based, you will report to the Director of Sales and take responsibility to lead our growth across foodservice and wholesale sectors. There will be travelling throughout the UK and attendance will be required at our Edinburgh office.

You will be expected to:

•     Implement and execute the sales strategy for new and existing business growth.

•     Plan your sales activity effectively across channels and sectors.

•     Action & deliver customer joint business plans.

•     Evolve existing customer sales plans.

•     Provide monthly reports and communication to the senior management team.

•     Sell value-added solutions to professional buyers.

•     Work intelligently to find opportunities, both in the breadth and depth of our current customer base.

The candidate

We are looking for someone that is based in and around the North/M62 corridor. In order to succeed in this role you will be educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have a structured and progressive FMCG account management background ideally with experience in the fresh food category working across the foodservice and wholesale channels.

You will also:

•     Have a belief and passion in our brand and our values.

•     Have previous experience of directly managing customer accounts over £1 million per year.

•     Have ambition to grow the channels and develop yourself.

•     Be numerate and commercially savvy.

•     Demonstrate effective account management experience in the food sector.

•     Be effective in time management so that you use company resources efficiently and effectively whilst achieving a healthy work / life balance.

•     Manage the new business process ensuring smooth introduction for customer and the company

•     Be a superior networker. Communication and influencing skills are essential for success in this role.
