About the Role:

This Shopper Marketing Controller opportunity is the first of its kind in the business and the strategic lead for the shopper marketing function. On the businesses number one brand, with 3 direct reports and a huge recruiting budget signed off for the next 12 months to add to the team. This is a huge opportunity for someone wanting to join a progressive and successful business and accelerate your Shopper Marketing career.

The Lead Shopper Marketing Controller will be tasked with carving out a strategic approach with the Marketing Director, being entrepreneurial, creating media campaigns with retailers and direct responsibility for c£3million budget and huge POS promotion budgets.

You will play a key role in step-changing our client’s shopper marketing approach, ensuring it is embedded into the brand & commercial planning process.  At the same time, you will become the shopper expert for key customers, demonstrating an expert knowledge of target shoppers and building bespoke retailer-specific plans that deliver tangible growth.

About You:

We need a team player wanting to accelerate your career with an entrepreneurial business from a Shopper Marketing background in FMCG.

Prior experience required:

• A proven track record of successfully leading the shopper agenda and developing strategies that delivers branded growth in the shopper environment. 
• Campaign Management - minimum 10 campaigns
• Experience in a Blue Chip FMCG environment in shopper and/or customer marketing 
• Experience of working across UK multiple retailers, channels and formats 
• Technical ability working across design agencies
• In depth experience of using shopper insight  to build plans that deliver brand strategies 
• Proven track record of leading, managing, developing and coaching teams 
• Ability to analyse data and generate insights, then convert into creative recommendations that deliver category and brand growth.
• Point of Sale Design and Manufacture
