Job Details

In partnership with Nikon, we are seeking a Senior Product Manager to join their vibrant Marketing team and take stock of the impressive Digital SLR range. This strategic position will be heavily involved in product management as well as having a strong focus on category planning and performance across all customers, offering a truly unique, hybrid position within the consumer goods field.

Dealing with questions that impact right across all aspects of the category, this role will gain real insight and hands on experience of the development of mid to long term product strategy. It will play a decisive role in shaping the product strategy by driving commercial input into product development - helping develop new product technology across a wide range of categories, both new and existing.

The position will be accountable for the line management of a junior product manager and will be required to have continuous communication with product developers, meaning that efficient communication skills are crucial to success. The role will be based in the head office in South-West London and will suit someone who is able to easily commute or relocate from/to surrounding areas.

The role:

  • Strategic Development: create, deliver and articulate product portfolio strategy to internal and external stakeholders based on consumer, market and retailer insight;
  • Category Planning: Create, develop & execute sales, pricing, promotion and distribution roadmap across portfolio of products within the category to realise category strategy
  • Category Performance Ownership: Using commercial understanding and control over costs to deliver category performance within agreed P&L framework and profitability expectations
