With over 165 years’ experience within the Household and Domestic Cleaning sector, my client has grown substantially and has ambitious plans to develop further. Backed by a huge global business worth in excess of £120million, the consumer products division in the UK is going from strength to strength, now turning over £35million. Specialising in branded household cleaning products, they have established themselves as a market leader. Most recently, they have acquired a new brand within their portfolio, adding another £7 million in incremental sales this year. Product development and innovation lies at the heart of their values and the business is consistently looking for new areas of development. Supplying to all the major UK multiples, this business has an excellent reputation in the industry amongst their competitors and customers.

A fantastic opportunity has now arisen for a Shopper Marketing Manager to join the consumer products division of the business. Reporting into the Trade Marketing Manager and working with their above the floor product portfolio you will work closely with the sales team to increase the profitability of the business and increase its market share. Your product portfolio with include cleaning clothes, sponges and detergents across all multiples accounts. This is a hands on role with a high level of responsibility and a senior position within the department. You will be focused on supporting key retailers to improve shopper KPIs, through the use of data systems including G&I and NLI. In addition, part of your role will be to work on new product launches, customising the launch of ranges to suit each customer’s needs.

In order to be considered for this great opportunity, you must have experience working in a Marketing, Shopper Marketing or Trade Marketing function, with over 3 years’ experience. Whilst experience working in the household or similar industry is preferred, the business is open to hearing from candidates from both non-food and food FMCG backgrounds. Branded experience will offer an advantage to candidates but this is not an essential requirement.
