Training and Health & Safety Manager

Our client is an exciting new food brand experiencing dramatic growth with plans to triple the size of their business over the next couple of years. They are currently seeking a Training and Health & Safety Manager to help ensure the warehouse and transport teams have the best expertise in their remit in order to fulfil the business' mission to achieve the highest standards in quality, customer service and food.

You will be responsible for creating the health and safety processes in order to both protect the staff and ensure that the business is legally compliant.

As a Training and Health & Safety Manager your responsibilities will include:

• Creating and implementing all of the onsite Health & Safety processes.
• Ensuring that all KPIs are met by managing people, processes and systems.
• Ensuring staff are fully trained by building a training matrix for all staff including refresher training.
• Creating and fuelling a proactive onsite attitude to demanding health & safety training.
• Full ownership of health & safety KPIs.
• Effective liaison and communication with the supply chain & logistics teams.
• Proactively seeking to continually improve processes while identifying areas of potential weaknesses.
• Ensuring that the production teams are motivated to care about customers, products and the brand.

In order to be an excellent Training and Health & Safety Manager:

• NEBOSH, COSHH, DSE and Risk Assessment training is essential.
• Experience in an operational environment.
• Manual Handling Train the Trainer certificate is preferable.
• Grocery or FMCG retail experience is preferable.
• Excellent writing skills required as you will be responsible for writing the Health & Safety manual.
• Great team-player with a positive attitude.
• Experience working within transport is preferable.
• Fantastic interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Energetic, committed and a flexible attitude.
• Meticulous approach to detail.
