My Client is looking for a Category Marketing Manager to support their Head of Marketing in supporting their Sales division and leading promotional programmes for a select range of their products

Description
Main duties for the role:
Set annual category revenue and profit growth targets and report on achievement against target on a monthly basis, identifying any outages to Commercial team with recommendations for action
Working with other areas of the business and following the branded process, deliver all branded projects to hit launch deadlines in designated categories as detailed in the Product Innovation Plan
Prepare detailed launch support plans for all projects to drive sales to achieve revenue and profit targets. Report on new product launches against target for initial 6 months of sales and then conduct a full post launch review reporting findings to all stakeholders
Plan and deliver an annual programme of competitor benchmarking activity for all key products within particular categories, reporting all findings to Commercial stakeholders to support product presentations
Create and present category and channel specific market insight and new product presentations for customers
Work with the Communications Manager to create the annual Marketing Activity Plan identifying all channel specific advertising, PR, events and E-marketing activity. Provide necessary information on new product and existing product features and benefits/quality attributes to support delivery of marketing communications
Prepare the annual promotional programme for the Food division wholesalers, communicate to all stakeholders, conduct full post promotion analysis and use findings to inform future activity
Participate in larger cross-functional key deliverable projects providing category and market insight as required
Attend relevant trade exhibitions, seminars and events, and prepare summary of key findings and insight
At all times ensure that Health and Safety requirements are met in your area of responsibility in accordance with Company Health and Safety Policy, procedures, practices and legislation
Profile
Experience and Qualifications:
Educated to degree level highly desirable
Professional Qualifications: Diploma in Marketing (CIM) is desirable
Previous experience in an FMCG Category Marketing Management role is essential
Experience in creating Strategic Category Plans is essential
Skills:
Creativity and ability to generate ideas is essential
Strategic thinking skills essential
Project management skills are essential
Must be computer literate and numerate, and experienced in using all elements of Microsoft Office
Excellent written and spoken communications skills essential
Ability to create and deliver presentations to a high standard
Confidence to communicate with senior management internally and within customers
Be able to explain and present complex data in an accessible way, communicating effectively to various audiences
Must be self-motivated and able to work on their own, plan and prioritise own workload and manage conflicting demands on time and resource
Confident and positive nature is essential
Highly organised with attention to detail and visual design aesthetics
Ability to analyse and interpret qualitative and quantitative data
Ability to develop strong working relationships both internally and externally
Be able to work on own initiative, manage time effectively and work accurately and quickly under pressure
Knowledge:
Excellent Food Knowledge is highly desirable
Other requirements:
Able to travel away from home and stay overnight - may be field based
Holds a full drivers licence
