Based in the Gatwick office, as Channel Manager - Sales you’ll be responsible for delivering sustainable growth in the Supermarket & Hypermarket channel. Our Opportunity

The Nestlé Purina Channel Manager plans strategies to increase market share and channel profitability. As a Channel Manager, you will report into the Grocery Channel Director and have the responsibility of developing the roadmap to deliver sustained growth. Working closely with sales, marketing, the insight team and external data agencies your role will be to develop a long term channel strategy, tracking and embedding this within the organisation.

As Channel Manager - Sales, you will work closely across all commercial functions and divisions to bring in new learning that can be applied to Purina. You will be responsible for ensuring the channel strategy is updated and remains relevant for any new trends seen in the market for a 1-3 year period. You will have involvement with Channel specific projects, ensuring channel input and thinking is captured in all relevant projects – for example innovation/renovation/promotional reviews and fixture recommendations.

As Channel Manager - Sales, you will act as the single point of contact for Sales and Marketing teams for the Channel of responsibility to help the portfolio optimisation for the total grocery business, and be a key member of the Monthly Business Planning team to ensure the strategy is brought to life and executed with our key customers.

We’re looking for an experienced Channel Manager to join our ambitious Nestlé Purina team. You’ll have an FMCG background (or similar), with strong commercial experience, gained from a category or sales role. You will have a proven track record of developing winning commercial and customer actionable plans. You will bring clarity and direction to ambiguous scenarios and support the business to make viable commercial decisions for now and future benefits.

As Channel Manager you will be required to present at all levels of the organisation and must be able to demonstrate the ability to work within a team and show you can lead independently to drive performance and results. You will have a good working knowledge of channel management principles, and be able to translate data and insight into winning customer plans. A solid knowledge of the UK retailer landscape will be a key advantage.
